橫山書藝館為促進書藝學術研究與發展與培植和發掘書法藝術研究人才，針對書法藝術之在地與國際、傳統與創新、理論與實踐等面向進行研究而設立「橫山書法研究論文獎」。本獎項以提名、報名雙軌制進行。

本屆橫山書法研究論文獎視覺設計以「書藝的風景」為題，象徵書法研究如同山水般廣闊深遠。畫面以層疊墨色與留白構築虛實之境，呼應書法筆觸間的韻律與呼吸，亦比喻學術探究在傳統與創新的交會中，開拓出嶄新的地平線。色塊與筆勢錯落，呈現出自然流動的氣韻，傳達書藝精神在當代仍不斷生長、演變，如後山之景，深沉而生生不息。


In order to promote academic research and development in calligraphic arts, and to nurture and discover talents in the field, the Hengshan Calligraphy Art Center established the “Hengshan Calligraphy Research Award.” The award encourages research on calligraphy through both nomination and open application systems, focusing on dimensions such as local and international perspectives, tradition and innovation, theory and practice.

The visual design for this year’s Hengshan Calligraphy Research Award is themed “The Landscape of Calligraphy,” symbolizing the vastness and depth of calligraphy studies akin to grand landscapes. The composition features layered ink washes and blank spaces, creating a dynamic interplay between presence and absence, echoing the rhythm and breath of brushstrokes. It metaphorically represents the exploration between tradition and innovation, forging new horizons. The scattered ink forms and brush textures convey a natural and flowing spirit, reflecting how the essence of calligraphy continues to grow and evolve in contemporary times—like the enduring and ever-renewing scenery of the hinterlands.
